The Opportunity This is a rare part-time opportunity working 3 days per week for an experienced telecommunications professional to step into a strategic, high-impact role within a complex environment. You’ll lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of telecommunications and network infrastructure, while helping shape future-ready connectivity across major initiatives and new developments. This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing strategy, stakeholder engagement, commercial thinking, and hands-on infrastructure leadership, and who wants the flexibility of a 3-day-per-week part-time position without losing scope or influence. About the Role In this role, you will take ownership of key telecommunications and network initiatives across the organisation. Lead telecommunications and network infrastructure strategy Drive network consolidation projects to improve efficiency and reduce cost Build strong partnerships with telecommunications providers and industry stakeholders Support communications infrastructure integration into new developments Identify and deliver commercial opportunities from existing communications assets Help shape future-ready services across CCTV, smart city, and traffic systems About You To succeed, you’ll bring deep telecommunications expertise, strong commercial judgement, and the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong experience in telecommunications, network planning, delivery, and maintenance Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure or network projects Ability to build partnerships across industry, government, and internal stakeholders Commercially minded, with experience identifying revenue or cost-saving opportunities Strong communication, negotiation, and project management capability Relevant degree or equivalent practical experienc The Benefits This role offers flexibility, impact, and the chance to shape critical infrastructure outcomes.
