About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join a site-based team on a Class 2 residential project in Manly. Reporting into project manager, you will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across all site activities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, engaging with subcontractors, and influencing positive safety outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Drive day-to-day safety performance on site, ensuring all works are carried out in line with WHS legislation and company systems Conduct regular site walks, inspections, and audits, identifying hazards and implementing practical control measures Review and approve SWMS, JHAs, and other safety documentation, ensuring they are fit for purpose and followed on site Lead toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and targeted safety briefings, keeping messaging relevant to current site activities Build strong working relationships with site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to influence safe behaviours Monitor high-risk activities including working at heights, crane lifts, excavations, and structural works Support and lead incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are closed out Maintain accurate safety records, reporting, and compliance documentation Assist in the continuous improvement of site safety systems and processes Be a visible presence on site, coaching and mentoring workers to lift overall safety standards To Be Successful: Proven experience working as a Safety Advisor on construction projects, ideally within Class 2 / multi-residential builds Strong working knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and the ability to apply it practically on site Confident reviewing safety documentation (SWMS, risk assessments) and challenging where required Comfortable engaging with subcontractors and pushing back when standards aren’t met Able to build trust on site while still holding people accountable Experience working through structural, façade, and finishing stages of a build is highly regarded Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Apply Now or call Sophia on 0405 849 519 for a confidential discussion.
