About The Opportunity The primary purpose of this position is to carry out fabrication and welding of crane components and assemblies to a high standard within a manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Manager, some of your responsibilities will include: Medium to heavy fabrication using MIG (GMAW) and ARC (SMAW) welding Using fabrication equipment including cutting, drilling and grinding tools Fabricating and welding crane components and major sub-assemblies Collaborating with production and assembly teams to meet targets Ensuring safe and efficient use of workshop tools and equipment Operating overhead gantry cranes to position components About You The successful candidate will have: Trade qualification Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (or equivalent) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mark out materials Strong experience with MIG (GMAW) and ARC (SMAW) welding Background in heavy fabrication or manufacturing environments Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship In addition, you will: Hold a forklift licence (highly regarded but not essential) Be able to work independently and as part of a team Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence Be reliable and punctual What's in it for You?
