Role Title: Senior SQL Developer Contract Length: Permanent Location WFH Flexibility: Parramatta (some light travel to Melbourne as required) hybrid flexibility Salary: $150,000-$160,000 super Role Details: You will lead the stabilisation and modernisation of a 20-year-old bespoke .NET Framework and SQL platform (Debtrak), with a clear roadmap toward migration to .NET Core. Take ownership of a legacy .NET Framework SQL Server platform that underpins mission-critical operations. Assess, untangle and modernise embedded business logic within a highly regulated environment. Oversee workflows and nightly batch processes tied to contractual and regulatory obligations. Support third-party integrations and collaborate closely with Data, ICT, Security and Business Applications teams. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a mid-level developer. Required Skills and Experiences: Strong SQL Server backend development experience. Strong .NET Framework and C# backend development capability. Experience working within legacy, imperfect systems and modernising them. Background in regulated, mission-critical environments (payments, PCI/DSS, ASIC compliance, transactional systems). Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-accountability operational environments. Experience with DebtTrak or similar debt collection platforms (highly regarded).
