Senior Technical Business Analyst We’re seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a large-scale customer migration program with a leading financial services company. This is a hands-on, technically focused role sitting at the heart of a GL and Payments squad, leading migration mapping activities and driving end-to-end business analysis across source-to-target transformation. You’ll work alongside delivery leads, product owners and technology teams – translating complex migration and payments data into clear, actionable requirements that ensure safe and accurate delivery. Flexible Hybrid Work Arrangements Leading Financial Services Company Key responsibilities Lead source-to-target migration mapping and document transformation rules across the Customer Migration program Perform detailed analysis of migration impacts to future state technology, business processes and operations Partner with key stakeholders to manage downstream impacts through documented decisions, technical changes and business process updates Elicit, analyse and deliver end-to-end requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria Identify and communicate risks, interdependencies and cross-functional impacts across portfolio streams Facilitate workshops, elaboration sessions and stakeholder forums with both technical and non-technical audiences Support business readiness activities and contribute to the development of SOPs and business blueprints Mentor and provide leadership to Business Analysts within the team and actively contribute to BA Community of Practice maturity About you 8 years’ experience as a Senior or Technical Business Analyst across complex delivery environments Proven experience in source-to-target data management and migration mapping Strong knowledge of payment lifecycle rails including Direct Entry, NPP, RTGS and BPAY GL mapping and reconciliation experience with a solid understanding of double-entry integrity Experience in card schemes processing, switching and settlement Deep understanding of banking ecosystems and integration Comfortable working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies (SAFe, Scrum) Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for senior and non-technical audiences Desirable Banking or financial services experience Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis Experience with digital API source-to-target mapping and integration Salesforce CRM experience Analyst certifications such as BABOK or Lean Six Sigma What’s on offer 12-month engagement available as a daily rate contract Preference for candidates based in Brisbane or Adelaide, with remote working considered for Melbourne and Sydney Opportunity to work on a high-impact, enterprise-scale migration program within financial services Collaborative team environment with strong BA practice and mentorship culture If you would like more information about this job, or wish to have a confidential discussion about your job search, please contact Jackson Bruce via email at jackson.bruce@talentinternational.com.
