The technology function operates in fully onshore Sydneybased squads, combining enterprise scale with a productled, deliveryfocused mindset. Your new roleThis is a 6month contract opportunity for a fully hands-on Principal Software Engineer to work on a brandnew clearing and settlement platform built from the ground up. The work is genuinely greenfield, with a strong focus on resilience, scalability, and speed to market.Youll contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, primarily working with C#/.NET on backend services and modern data platforms such as PostgreSQL and cloudhosted databases. Engineers with fullstack capability are welcomed, and there is scope for strong frontend contributors to work on Reactbased trading and order management interfaces.The team operates with full endtoend ownership engineers design, build, test, and deploy their own solutions. Youll also be handson with DevSecOps practices, embedding security and operational excellence into everything you deliver.There is no fixed project end date, with strong potential for extensions and longerterm opportunities. What you'll need to succeedTo thrive in this role, youll bring: Strong experience building systems in C#/.NET A background in designing scalable, highly resilient platforms Experience working on greenfield or fastmoving product builds Exposure to PostgreSQL or similar modern data technologies Handson involvement in DevSecOps and CI/CD practices Frontend experience with React (beneficial but not essential) A mindset geared toward ownership, accountability, and quality Experience across both startupstyle environments and large organisations will be highly regarded.
