Design & Engineering CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 190 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. The Opportunity We’re seeking a Civil Designer to play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-voltage infrastructure and renewable energy projects. As an Engineering Designer – Civil, your responsibility will be to develop engineering concept DTM designs in collaboration with the senior engineering team and to evolve the documentation into fully detailed, functional IFC drawings. You will utilise your 3D modelling and CAD knowledge contribute to design input data management and intelligent production of designs and drawings. Working collaboratively as an integral member of the civil team to ensure cost effective and constructable designs are produced in a timely manner. Working closely with engineers to produce designs compliant with project requirements and standard codes or practice. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Essential: Civil Engineer qualifications Demonstrated experience in 3D civil design, including proficiency in Civil 3D / 12D software. Familiarity with Autoturn and ideally, Microstation. Familiarity of AR&R awareness of hydrology design principles; DRAINS software (desirable). Understanding of Austroads, State by State design practices, Electrical Network Authorities practices, and relevant Australian Standards. Capability to independently design projects in rural and regional environments. Willingness to contribute to the development of CPP's internal civil design systems and workflows. Eagerness to collaborate with a supportive design team, including “knowledge sharing” and developing other designers and drafters. Proven ability to engage with and cultivate strong communicative relationships. Passion and enthusiasm for meeting technical delivery standards and project timeframes. Demonstrated experience in CAD skills, 3D modelling & GIS integration. Strong understanding of engineering standards and construction methods. Be rewarded at CPP.
