About the role This is a great opportunity for a Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst or Senior Consultant ready to take their first step into a management role. Joining Perpetual's Chief Risk Office (CRO), you'll play a key role in design and implementation of enterprise level risk and compliance activity across Perpetual Group. The role offers broad exposure across regulatory change, compliance monitoring, issues management and licence obligations, while working closely with experienced leaders who will support your ongoing development. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the business to implement key elements of the Risk & Compliance Framework, including but not limited to: Supporting regulatory change activities, including identifying and analysing legal and regulatory developments and assisting with business implementation Assisting with the maintenance and enhancement of risk and compliance policies, compliance plans and related documentation Supporting compliance monitoring activities and follow‑up actions Assisting with issues management, including preparation of regulatory submissions Assist in reporting to committees and boards in relation to enterprise level compliance activities Assist with regulatory audit programs and compliance validation and certification processes Oversight of enterprise (corporate) level conflicts management activities and the gifts register to monitor employees compliance with policies Oversight of Australian Financial Services Licence variations and appointment and removal of Responsible Managers About you You'll bring a strong foundation in risk and compliance within financial services, along with a collaborative and detail‑oriented approach. You will ideally have: An undergraduate qualification in Business, Finance, Legal or a related discipline 5 years' experience in risk, compliance or legal roles within financial services Experience working with controls in a regulated financial services environment Demonstrated experience analysing issues, identifying root causes and contributing to remediation actions Experience advising business stakeholders on managing risk in a practical and commercially balanced way Experience reviewing compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards Ability to work effectively and productively within a team environment Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging a range of stakeholders A client‑first, commercially minded approach, balanced with regulatory and community expectations Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and accountability Well-developed analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to work through complex information How we work Our unique culture is underpinned by our three organisational behaviours, Stretch, Own it, Make an impact which drive our approach of day-to-day interactions with colleagues and clients, the way we approach decision-making to the questions we ask and the problems we solve.
