Here’s what it says on the jar: You’ll be a hygiene champion , completing systematic sanitisation across production areas, including OPC and CIP, while keeping every surface, machine, and workspace spotless and foodsafe. You’ll be handson across multiple zones , maintaining high hygiene standards in areas such as Glass Filling, Bulk Line, PCL 1 & 2, Preparation and Staging Rooms, Fruit Processing, cool rooms, freezers, and staff facilities. You’ll take ownership of food safety and compliance , confidently applying HACCP, GMP, WHS, chemical handling, and all Beerenberg procedures, SOPs and work instructions in everything you do. You’ll keep equipment in top condition , safely disassembling and reassembling machinery for deep cleaning, and ensuring all plant, tools, and production items are sanitised to Beerenberg and SQF standards. You’ll work safely, smartly, and as part of the team , wearing PPE correctly, following safe work methods, attending required training, and stepping in to support production or hygiene tasks whenever needed. You’ll be the right person for this role if you: You’ll bring a solid understanding of WHS, GMP and HACCP principles, along with the reliability, attention to detail and pride in your work that keep a food manufacturing environment safe, compliant and running smoothly. You’ll be confident working with chemicals and cleaning products, with awareness of safe handling practices and a willingness to learn Beerenberg ’s inhouse chemical procedures and hygiene competencies. You’ll thrive in a team environment, communicating clearly and working cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, suppliers and visitors, while using your initiative to keep housekeeping standards high across site. You’ll have hands-on experience in the food industry (or similar) and ideally an understanding of the food manufacturing process, plus the physical fitness needed for a role that involves lifting, bending, standing and moving throughout the shift. You’ll have a genuine passion for food, comfortable sharing recipe ideas or talking flavour, and may bring additional practical skills such as a Forklift Licence, EWP or Boom Lift certification.
