Duties & Responsibilities Leading procurement activities and developing request documents Provide contract management services including: Development of contract management frameworks, strategies and plans Establishing contract performance metrics and requirements Developing, supplying, or operating contract management systems, processes or tools Monitoring and tracking: Communications between parties Contract performance and financial status (e.g. payments, securities) Material exchanges between parties Variations and change proposals Intellectual property Claims (e.g. warranties, liquidated damages, defects, liabilities) Other relevant contract information Conduct and/or contribute to supplier performance and compliance reviews, including: Supplier self-assessments Australian Industry Capability (AIC) requirements WHS compliance Environmental and sustainability compliance Administration, drafting and development of procurement and contracting documentation, including: Contract Management Plans Contract management systems/processes/tools Change Proposals Procurement Plans Reports Commercial Strategies for Sustainment Providing commercial advice and guidance to delegates and stakeholders Leading or supporting tendering activities and providing expert advice to Defence Supporting negotiations with prime contractors Drafting contractual artefacts including: Conditions of Tender (CoT) Conditions of Contract (CoC) Tender Evaluation Plans and supporting documentation Drafting and updating liability risk assessments and identifying commercial risks and treatment methodologies Supporting tender clarifications (commercial, contractual and financial aspects) Developing and advising on Commonwealth procurement approvals, including: Endorsements to Proceed Section 23 Delegate Approvals Representing the Commonwealth (CoA) and upholding Commonwealth interests and values Undertaking ad hoc commercial tasks as required by the Commonwealth To Be Successful Desirable Skills & Experience: Significant experience in materiel procurement and/or contract management Experience identifying and managing commercial risks Strong understanding of Commonwealth procurement probity requirements Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Experience managing stakeholder relationships Extensive knowledge of: PGPA Act Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) Procurement-connected policies Ability to work both independently and within a team Ability to work to tight deadlines Experience with ASDEFCON contracting templates or equivalent Relevant degree or formal procurement/contracting qualifications Other Relevant Information The role will require working across at least two products within the SPO Requires: Flexibility Innovation Ability to think on your feet Strong time management Ability to hit the ground running If you would like to have a confidential discussion or find out more about this role, please click apply now or contact me directly on 0425 654 942, or jessica.beale@businessreviewgroup.com.au
