About the role As an SKG RN you will be responsible for providing high quality pre, intra and post procedure nursing care and education to patients attending our branch. In this role you will be involved in a range of duties such as assisting the Radiologist in interventional procedures including biopsies i.e. thyroid & breast and all MSK Ultrasound injections and CT injections, thereby utilising all of your nursing skills that apply in the radiology setting. You will be the sole Nurse on shift in the branch supported by our team of qualified technical staff consisting of Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, Sonographers and Medical Imaging Assistants. Role requirements Degree/Diploma of Nursing or equivalent Registration with AHPRA Recent solid clinical nursing experience A consistent Patients First focus A caring, compassionate nature The ability to work both independently and within our wider medical imaging team Excellent communication and time management skills A background in radiology nursing will be looked upon favourably Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment. This position is Part Time – 37.5 hours per fortnight. Currently worked as 7.5 hours per day on a Thursday and Friday plus every second Wednesday. Given the role is a job share arrangement, there is an expectation where practical to cover your job partner when they are on leave hence flexibility to work additional hours from time to time is key.
