The key duties of the position include The Role As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be accountable under limited direction for the ongoing administration of the Collins Submarine Program certified Quality Management system, compliant with ISO 9001:2015. You will coordinate and contribute to the work of the team consistent with the CSMP Quality Management Plan and provide advice on quality assurance processes and business improvement activities. Reporting to the Internal Quality Management System lead, you will build and sustain effective relationships with team members and provide constructive feedback to others, as well as work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. This work is primarily an administrative/internal auditor role where you will support broader quality assurance activities with a primary focus on conducting Internal Quality Management audits in accordance with ISO 9001 QMS requirements and various organisational governance procedures, practices and frameworks. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will: Have an understanding of the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 Quality management requirements; Be accountable for organising your workflow and the accurate and timely completion of work within specified timeframes, and possess the ability to make independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility; Have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, successful collaboration and effective communication within a team environment to achieve quality outcomes; Be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes; Demonstrate the ability to interpret, collate, research and analyse information to conduct audits and reporting activities based on legislation, policy and procedures. About our Team The Collins Submarine Program within the Naval Shipbuilding & Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia's Collins Class Submarines.
