We specialise in authentic Chinese cuisine and traditional cooking techniques. We are looking for a skilled Cook (Chinese Cuisine) to join our kitchen team and help prepare high-quality Chinese dishes for our customers. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes following restaurant standards. Check ingredients to ensure they are fresh and of good quality. Prepare seafood, meat, vegetables, and other ingredients. Cook using traditional Chinese methods such as wok cooking, stir-frying, steaming, and deep-frying . Control cooking temperatures for equipment such as wok burners, grills, and steamers. Season dishes to achieve authentic Chinese flavours. Portion and present dishes according to restaurant standards. Store food safely following hygiene and food safety regulations. Assist with estimating food quantities and menu preparation when required. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Skills and Experience Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or at least 3 years of relevant experience in Chinese cuisine. Experience working in a commercial kitchen preparing Chinese dishes. Knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and kitchen equipment (such as wok burners). Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
