Primary Purpose of the Role: To deliver high-quality, patient-centred primary healthcare services to individuals and families in the community, consistent with evidence-based clinical guidelines, professional standards, and the strategic objectives of Franklin Medical Centre. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive medical consultations and manage acute, chronic, and preventative health care needs of patients. Perform diagnostic examinations, order investigations, interpret results, and develop treatment plans within the scope of a general practice. Perform minor medical procedures (e.g. wound care, suturing, skin lesion removal) Work independently with nursing and administrative staff support Refer patients to specialists or allied health professionals when clinically indicated. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records in accordance with legal and ethical obligations. Chronic disease management plans, and mental health care plans. Adhere to Medicare billing requirements, clinical documentation standards, and audit processes. Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and maintain medical registration with AHPRA. Engage in quality improvement activities, peer review, and clinical audits. Supervise and support registrars, medical students, or practice staff as required. Comply with the clinic’s policies and procedures, including those relating to infection control, health and safety, privacy, and cultural safety. Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team Salary – Negotiable depend on experience. Requirements : Current AHPRA registration, eligible for Medicare provider number for practice location. Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
