About the Role We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Admissions Consultant to join our Central Office team. This role plays a key part in supporting prospective residents and their families through the aged care admissions process, while working closely with Aegis Facilities to maintain strong occupancy across the group. You will act as a central point of contact for enquiries, guiding families through the complexities of Aged Care funding and admission requirements, while building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage enquiries from prospective Residents and families via phone, email, website and industry platforms such as the DPS Guide and Aged Care Online. Conduct financial discussions with Applicants and provide guidance on Aged Care fees and charges. Prepare and manage documentation including Service Agreements and HELF agreements. Liaise with industry stakeholders including referral agents, hospital discharge planners and social workers. Build strong working relationships with Facility Managers and Administration teams across the Aegis Group. Assist in maintaining high occupancy across Facilities through vacancy reporting and coordinating admissions. Support Facilities with admissions processes, enquiries, waitlists and provide guidance or training to Administration Staff where required. Access and utilise My Aged Care and PRODA systems to assist Facilities and Applicants with the admissions process. About You The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Aged Care admissions and funding processes, along with the interpersonal skills required to support families through important decisions. You will ideally possess the following criteria: A strong understanding of Aged Care fees, charges and financial thresholds. Knowledge of the Aged Care Act and admissions requirements. Experience working with My Aged Care and PRODA systems. Excellent telephone communication and customer service skills. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and basic Excel. High attention to detail with strong organisational and documentation skills. An empathetic, professional and approachable manner when supporting residents and families.
