As a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist, MH SW or MH OT, your responsibilities will include: Unique opportunity to facilitate the ‘Creating Wellbeing Day Program’ – that is, a day program in which psychological skills and concepts are explored through engagement in a range of creative or art based activities. Facilitation of established evidence based group therapy programs within both Inpatient and Outpatient services; enhancing understanding of mental health concerns and the development of adaptive coping strategies for patients with a broad range of moderate to severe psychopathology. Contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to patient centred, and trauma informed, care. Assessment and crisis management. Short-term, solution focused individual therapy (Psychologist only). Opportunities to contribute to the expansion of specialised therapeutic programs, including the development and facilitation of program resources. About Pine Rivers Pine Rivers Private Hospital (PRPH) is a 70 bed acute Mental Health Hospital located 22km north of Brisbane. It provides a range of highly regarded inpatient, day patient and specialty Mental Health Services. We have an established Allied Health team consisting of experienced Psychologists, Social Worker, RNs, Exercise Physiologist and a Yoga teacher. The team also works closely with nursing and admitting psychiatrists to provide optimal and comprehensive patient care. Essential Criteria Demonstrated excellence in the assessment and delivery of a range of therapeutic interventions for adults experiencing mental health concerns. Have an understanding of, and experience in, the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively. Registration with AHPRA (as applicable), Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or, Accredited Mental Health OT. Desired: Recognised endorsement of Clinical Psychology practice with AHPRA and board approval re: supervision. Understanding of, and experience in, treatment of addiction Art based/Creative Therapies. Willingness and availability to facilitate evening programs.
