Associate Director – Capital Projects An opportunity exists for an experienced capital projects leader to step into a senior interim role overseeing the planning and delivery of a large and complex capital works program. This role will suit a commercially minded professional with strong leadership capability and deep experience delivering major capital works in complex environments. The Opportunity Reporting to a senior executive, you will provide leadership, direction and oversight of a multi-disciplinary capital projects function, managing a team of direct reports along with external consultants and contractors. You will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital and minor works projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a capital works program covering new build, refurbishment, lifecycle renewal and minor works projects Provide leadership, coaching and direction to a team of senior project delivery professionals Oversee project planning, business case development, budgeting, procurement and deliver Ensure strong governance, reporting, risk management and compliance across all project Manage consultants, contractors and external stakeholders to ensure value for money outcomes Partner with senior stakeholders to align projects with strategic and operational priorities Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Australian building codes, WHS and safety standards About You Significant experience leading large-scale capital works programs from planning through to construction and handover Proven people leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex budgets and cost variations Demonstrated ability to operate in complex stakeholder environments Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Availability to commence a short-term interim assignment Please contact Adrian de la Nougerede from Capstone Recruitment on 0401403101/ adrian@capstonerecruitment.com.au
