Melbourne Asset Management Contract or Temporary About the Role A leading institutional investment organisation is seeking a Senior Investment Data Business Analyst to join their Investment Data team on an initial 12-month contract. This role sits at the forefront of the firm’s transformation program, enhancing investment data and technology capabilities that support decision-making across global markets. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will partner with senior stakeholders, project sponsors, and cross-functional teams to capture and translate complex business needs into clear, actionable data requirements. You’ll play a key role in enabling data-driven investment outcomes and ensuring initiatives are delivered to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Translate investment and business requirements into detailed technical solutions. Support the full investment data lifecycle – from ingestion to reporting and analytics. Collaborate across public and private markets, including portfolio construction and asset data. Contribute to data governance, quality metrics, metadata, and glossary development. Facilitate workshops, process mapping, and documentation of business processes. Lead/support UAT including test case design, execution, and defect management. Partner with internal teams and external data/technology vendors to deliver best-in-class outcomes. About You The ideal candidate will bring: Significant business analysis experience within investment management, superannuation, custody, or asset servicing . Strong knowledge of investment data concepts such as Security Master, Entity Mastering, Market Data capture, IBOR/ABOR, and performance returns calculation . Hands-on experience with enterprise data management platforms and vendors (e.g. GoldenSource, NeoXam, FactSet, Finbourne, SimCorp, Aladdin ). Proficiency in SQL, Databricks, Python, Excel . Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across executive and technical audiences. Familiarity with delivery tools and methodologies ( JIRA, Confluence ). Why Join?
