Application Packaging & Intune Engineer Assignment until June 2026 with potential to extend Remote (Open across in Australia) Existing NV1 Security clearance required. Green Light is a growing consulting organisation known for its work in Telecommunications and System Integration Services organisations. We have a requirement with our client partner for Application Packaging and Intune Engineer to join their team on assignment until June 2026 with potential to extend. The ideal candidate will have experience in application packaging and deployment using Microsoft Intune, MSIX, and Win32 , with strong experience in public sector security baselines , including ASD Essential Eight and ISM standards. Key Responsibilities Application Discovery & Analysis Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather application requirements, dependencies, and licensing triggers prior to packaging. End-to-End Packaging Design and create high-quality deployment packages using Intune . Advanced Scripting & Automation Use PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) to handle complex installation logic, user notifications, and environment clean-ups. Quality Assurance & Testing Conduct rigorous UAT in clean-room VM environments to ensure packages do not interfere with the base SOE or other installed applications. Compliance & Security Hardening Ensure packages comply with ASD Essential Eight (specifically Application Control/Whitelisting) and ISM standards , including no requirement for administrative privileges for end users. Intune & MECM Orchestration Manage upload, targeting, and monitoring of application deployments via Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM . Required Skills Core Tools Experience in Microsoft Intune , Admin Studio , Advanced Installer , or Master Packager . Packaging Formats Strong knowledge of MSI tables (Orca) , MST (Transforms) , and MSIX . Scripting Advanced PowerShell skills for automation and wrapper development. Troubleshooting Expert use of Sysinternals (ProcMon, Process Explorer) and Event Viewer to diagnose application issues and registry conflicts. Security & Whitelisting Experience with AppLocker or Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) . Developer Tool Packaging Proven experience packaging complex developer tools and enterprise applications. Qualifications Security Clearance: NV1 clearance is mandatory (public sector requirement).
