JOB DESCRIPTION: JKAUR GLOBAL GROUP PTY LTD, trading as The Indian Royal Flavours, is a hospitality business located at 30–34 Palmer Street, South Townsville, Queensland 4810, Australia. We operate as a full-service Indian restaurant, specializing in authentic Indian cuisine that showcases traditional flavours, premium ingredients, and contemporary culinary presentation. We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Chef to join our team in South Townsville. A competitive salary package will be offered based on experience and qualifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Plan and organize the preparation and cooking of authentic Indian dishes and menus. ● Develop and design menus considering seasonal availability, customer preferences, and cost factors. ● Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow. ● Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all food prepared and served. ● Monitor food preparation and cooking methods to maintain authenticity and hygiene standards. ● Estimate food requirements and manage inventory, ordering, and storage of ingredients. ● Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards. ● Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering skill development and teamwork. Control costs by managing portion sizes, minimizing waste, and optimizing resources. ● Innovate and create new dishes to enhance the restaurant’s menu and customer experience ATTRIBUTES: ● 1 year of relevant qualification is required. ● Minimum 1 year experience in a relevant discipline is required, ● Committed to adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries at the workplace.
