Becoming a Knifehand at Oakey Beef Exports is an opportunity to upskill and create a long-term pathway, with over 50 different trimming and Knifehand roles in one department alone. This Knifehand position offers: Full-time, permanent employment in Oakey Monday to Friday shifts, with five (5) Saturday’s each year 5:30AM – 1:36PM working hours (1hr OT when required) Full on the job training including a Certificate in Meat Processing What experience are we looking for? Working as a Knifehand is fast-paced and can be physically demanding. Having the motivation to learn will be an asset in your success. Previous experience using a knife will be extremely advantageous! Some areas of experience that would be beneficial include: Butcher experience Chef/Kitchen experience Harvesting/farm experience Knife sharpening experience Meat/Seafood/Poultry processing experience While we are currently seeking candidates with existing knife skills, we also offer entry-level roles where training can be provided for those will the motivation to learn!
