This role will be based in Sydney, Australia. Is this your next role? In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Bank’s financial reporting framework, maintaining a strong control environment and driving continuous improvement across finance processes. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Operations and Technology, providing high‑quality insights to support decision making. Does this sound like you? What You’ll Do Financial Reporting & Control Manage monthly ledger close and balance sheet reconciliation processes. Manage consolidation and reconciliation of financial data from multiple sources to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Oversee general ledger maintenance, including complex accounting transactions and structural updates. Support the Financial Controller and CFO with monthly management reporting and analytical review. Statutory Reporting Prepare statutory financial statements for the Annual Report and contribute to Group consolidated reporting. Respond to internal and external auditor queries and provide supporting information. Assist with Board and Board Committee papers and prepare accounting memos on new standards. Leadership & Continuous Improvement Provide guidance, oversight and support to Finance team members as required. Act as a subject matter expert on finance‑related projects including system changes, acquisitions and new accounting standards. Drive a culture of collaboration, strong risk management and continuous improvement. You’re a Pro With CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent). Extensive experience in financial control, statutory and management reporting within financial services or banking. Strong understanding of regulatory, governance and risk frameworks. Leading teams and building capability in fast‑paced environments. Analysing complex financial data and clearly communicating insights. Qualifications & Experience Professional CPA/CA qualification (essential). Relevant tertiary qualification (postgraduate qualifications desirable). Approximately 5 years’ experience in senior finance roles within financial services or similar regulated industries.
