About The Role As Conduct Practice Lead, you will lead fair, evidencebased conduct investigations that support Australian Retirement Trust’s obligations under APRA CPS511 Remuneration, ensuring consequence decisions are consistent, wellreasoned and appropriately applied. You’ll operate in a sensitive environment where a calm, problem solving and communication style will help support and build trust with stakeholders at all levels. This role suits someone with a legal background and employee relations or investigation experience, who can take an examinationstyle approach to complex matters. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and committees, producing highquality reporting while contributing to the continuous improvement of ART’s consequence management frameworks. Key Aspects Of The Role Include Leading conduct investigations that may be narrow or broad in scope, assessing severity and causes for issues with poor risk outcomes in a fair and consistent manner Developing clear, wellevidenced findings and recommendations aligned to CPS511 requirements Building strong relationships across People & Impact, Risk and the broader business to support complex investigations Navigating sensitive matters with professionalism, empathy and sound judgement, balancing individual, stakeholder and organisational needs Preparing highquality written reports and submissions for a range of audiences, including executives and governance committees Translating regulatory and legislative requirements into practical guidance, processes and ways of working Applying inquisitive and analytical thinking, quickly learning context across a range of matters and testing evidence to form robust conclusions Contributing to the development, review and uplift of consequence management policies, frameworks and practices This is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne About You It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: Significant experience conducting workplace conduct, ER, risk or regulatory investigations, with the ability to assess matters fairly, consistently and based on evidence. A law degree or relevant tertiary qualification, with employee relations or investigation experience and the capability to construct, test and defend wellreasoned arguments (practising certificate not required). Strong understanding of regulated environments, ideally within financial services, and confidence applying regulatory requirements in a practical, proportionate way. A calm, structured and professional communication style, particularly when managing sensitive matters. Confidence engaging and influencing senior and executivelevel stakeholders. Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, highquality reports and recommendations for varied audiences. Naturally inquisitive and analytical thinking, with the ability to quickly build context, challenge assumptions and identify underlying causes. A proactive relationship builder who is comfortable having open, sometimes difficult conversations and supporting a strong speakup culture. Strong organisational skills and resilience, enabling effective management of multiple complex matters in a fastpaced environment.
