Design and deliver innovative programs that supports the rehabilitation of people in our care Full time, Ongoing opportunity based in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs CCP5 Salary band $113,022 - $136,747 plus superannuation About us: Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole. Community Work and Partnerships is one of four service delivery streams within CCS. We are responsible for the development of mutually beneficial partnerships with government agencies and non-government organisations so that offenders can undertake unpaid work as part of their community-based sentence imposed by the Courts of Victoria. About your new role: This is a newly created role to support the growing community work operating in Melbourne's North and West metro areas. This role will compliment the team as a second Manager in the region, working predominately to support operations in the north, working out of the new Epping office. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the Manager leads a team of office and field-based staff and strives to deliver community work placement opportunities ensuring that individualised placements are enhanced and educational opportunities for individuals are maximized. Manages the Community Work and Partnerships stream and is accountable for all aspects of the management of staff, management of budget, allocation of resourcing and work planning as well as the occupational health and safety requirements associated with community work sites. Proactively maintain existing relations and target, engage and develop new and innovative business opportunities within the community Devise community placed-based community for work programs which maximise achievement of required community work hours for individuals and increase the completion of court orders This role will be based at a new warehouse in Epping, with travel expected across the North West Metro area as required and management of staff in multiple locations. About you: To be successful in this role you will have: Demonstrated ability to engage with local community services and effectively market and develop partnership strategies. Demonstrated understanding and capability in supervising a team responsible for operational service delivery.
