Position Summary Under the supervision of the Practice Manager – Health Services, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of clinical health services within the Medical Centre. This role requires: Active day‑to‑day leadership Coordination of clinical staff Delegation of authority Sound decision‑making The Clinical Coordinator will ensure operational service delivery frameworks meet MDAS targets, support accreditation compliance, and respond to the needs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community, as outlined in the MDAS Strategic Plan. Key Responsibilities 1. Clinical Service Delivery and Development Work closely with the Manager of Health Services to: Coordinate all clinical staff to deliver integrated, effective and efficient health services. Monitor KPIs and individual staff targets. Coordinate ongoing clinical services and support recruitment, contract development and performance management processes. Collaborate with other Coordinators to ensure whole‑service alignment. Identify, review, educate and improve clinical practices to meet organisational standards and AGPAL Accreditation requirements. Lead MDAS Cold Chain Management Procedures. Review and develop policies and procedures related to clinical services. 2. Reporting and Compliance Input accurate, timely and relevant data into MDAS-approved systems demonstrating progress toward KPIs. Collate and prepare reports and submissions for funding bodies and accreditation. Monitor Medicare claiming practices to ensure accuracy, identify gaps and improve efficiency. Provide Communicare education as a trained Superuser to support correct Medicare Claim Tracking processes. Demonstrate continual commitment to quality improvement and excellence in service delivery. 3. Stakeholder Management Provide leadership in building and maintaining key strategic relationships internally and externally. Initiate and monitor collaborative relationships aimed at improving client health and wellbeing. Liaise with internal management to enhance clinical strategies and ensure best practice. 4. Leadership and People Management Conduct regular professional, individual and team supervision for direct reports. Coordinate performance management processes with the Practice Manager, including PD development, work plans and performance reviews. Manage conflict resolution within clinical teams and across the medical practice. Demonstrate professionalism, self‑awareness, resilience, empathy and openness to feedback. Promote and maintain a healthy organisational culture that values learning, high performance, respect, collaboration and reflective practice. 5. Key Selection Criteria Direct Service Delivery Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering primary health care services. Experience in client‑centred service delivery with strong quality and clinical governance focus. Leadership and Management Proven ability to lead and coordinate staff in a clinical environment. Demonstrated experience in leading team development and enhancing service delivery. Organisation and Planning Experience reviewing operational service delivery to support strategic planning, including across multiple locations. Communication and Interpersonal Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collate and prepare statistical reports and submissions.
