Project Engineer – Mobile Machinery Are you a Project Engineer with a passion for large-scale mobile equipment? We are working on an exciting new opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our client's engineering team in Western Sydney. Our client is a market leading manufacturer of innovative mobile equipment solutions for a diverse range of industries. Position Overview: As the Project Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the sales tendering process, design engineering, engineering investigations, product improvements and reliability enhancements, supporting new and modified equipment builds, as well as commissioning of heavy mobile machinery. Responsibilities: Assist in the design, modification and improvement of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Prepare and review engineering documentation including drawings, calculations, technical reports, specifications and change documentation. Participate in design reviews and technical risk assessments for new build and refurbishment projects Ensure refurbishment and enhancement activities meet OEM regulatory and customer requirements. Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to corrective and preventative actions. Provide technical support during commissioning of new and overhauled equipment Assist in resolving technical queries from customers and internal stakeholders. Qualifications and experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of two years of experience in heavy manufacturing, earthmoving equipment, plant or mobile machinery environments. Experience in design support, equipment overhauls, commissioning or service engineering. Exposure to mechanical and hydraulic systems in industrial or mobile equipment applications. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
