Join our team in Alice Springs to work alongside fathers, sons, brothers, LGBTQIA men, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, migrants, and young men. We're seeking a skilled Social Worker to deliver trauma-informed counseling, case management, and group programs tailored to men's mental health, family reconnection, and life challenges in this unique remote setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one counseling and psychosocial support addressing men's issues like family violence, addiction, grief, identity, and isolation. Facilitate men's groups, fatherhood programs, and cultural healing circles with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds (e.g., First Nations men's business, LGBTQIA allyship). Develop safety plans, coordinate NDIS/community services, and advocate for clients with courts, housing, and employment agencies. Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions; travel to remote communities as needed. Maintain compliant documentation per AASW standards and NT legislation; collaborate with elders, health services, and peer workers. Build trust through strengths-based, culturally safe practice across multicultural and Indigenous contexts. What We're Looking For: Bachelor/Master of Social Work with current AASW membership. 2 years' experience supporting men/families in community, mental health, or remote settings. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, NT Ochre Card, and Police Check. Demonstrated cultural capability with Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander communities; LGBTQIA awareness training.
