About the role Reporting to the Marketing Lead, this role will act as a brand custodian – simplifying complex concepts into clear visual communication, ensuring coherent brand expression across channels, and proactively lifting the standard of design and brand execution across the organisation. Key responsibilities of the role Take briefs from internal teams and develop compelling visual storytelling across reports, presentations, campaigns and websites. Act as a brand custodian by applying audience insights, channel requirements and visual identity guidelines to create clear, consistent and impactful design. Champion and coach others on brand and design standards by adapting agency creative for CCNSW channels and providing constructive guidance to internal stakeholders. Lead Canva Enterprise for the organisation – overseeing governance, template creation, asset management and training while maintaining a centralised, on-brand template and asset library. Manage day-to-day design workflows and competing priorities, embedding accessibility, diversity and inclusion principles into all design work. Oversee production processes and relationships with external creative suppliers (printers, photographers, illustrators, production partners), supporting brand and campaign shoots as needed. About you Essential 3 Years graphic design experience Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills including strong layout, typography and digital design capabilities. Experience designing for digital channels (e.g. social, display ads – static and animated) within established brand guidelines. Experience using Canva (Enterprise preferred), including template creation and design governance. Experience managing external creative suppliers (freelancers, photographers, production). Understanding of accessibility principles and inclusive design. Excellent project and workflow management skills delivering graphic design projects on time and to brief A varied portfolio of work including print, digital and brand examples Desirable Experience in editing short videos (Premier Pro or similar) Illustration experience Experience with basic motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar). Experience developing brand assets or iconography is an advantage.
