About The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and systems-focused Project Planner to join a specialist Maintenance & Engineering team operating within a complex scientific and industrial environment. This is a planning and coordination role requiring strong data accuracy, structured thinking and the ability to operate within clearly defined governance and compliance frameworks. Employment Type: Full time, 2-Year Maximum Term Contract Key Responsibilities Review and prioritise maintenance requests and notifications Develop, maintain and optimise preventative maintenance plans within SAP Create, update and manage equipment master data (equipment numbers, functional locations, maintenance frequencies) Generate and administer work orders within the CMMS Prepare cost estimates, purchase requisitions and support contract documentation Coordinate in-house and outsourced maintenance activities Monitor progress to ensure SLAs and performance indicators are met Manage documentation required for work order close-out within regulated facilities Support safety reviews, contractor compliance and audit activities Review and coordinate contractor documentation including SWMS and safety requirements prior to work approval Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and project management processes About You Trade or higher qualifications in a relevant technical discipline (electrical qualifications highly desirable) Strong experience in technical/project planning or preventative maintenance in industrial or engineering environments Ability to develop structured, systematic technical solutions Knowledge of Australian Standards, Codes, and statutory requirements relevant to engineering or technical assets Experience coordinating contractors and/or managing service contracts Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with trades, engineers, contractors, and management Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills Strategic thinking, with the ability to prioritise, influence, and negotiate outcomes Eligibility Requirements Must be an Australian citizen to work in a security-regulated environment Must be willing to undergo a security clearance check How to apply Submit your up-to-date resume with covering letter addressing your suitability to the role against the above selection criteria At Horner we recognise the value of a diverse workforce and the creation of inclusive workforce cultures.
