Western Private Hospital is seeking a commercially astute Finance Manager to lead our finance function and help shape the company’s growth. In this senior role, you’ll have a dual reporting line to the Chief Executive Officer/Director of Nursing and the Business Services Manager to ensure strategic clinical operations and operational financial management. You will oversee financial operations, and provide strategic insights that support sustainable business improvement. From compliance and reporting to cashflow management, you’ll safeguard the organisation’s financial health while contributing to key decision making. About Us Western Private Hospital, located in Footscray, is a 62-bed private acute hospital and is the longest serving private hospital in Melbourne’s west providing much needed services to the people in the expanding North West and Western regions of Melbourne and surrounding areas. We provide a broad mix of specialties including orthopaedics, vascular, plastics, urology, gynaecology, colorectal, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, oncology and general surgery for both medical and surgical patients. About the Role As the Finance Manager, you will: Oversee all core financial operations with the support of a small team, fostering a collaborative culture across all business areas. Develop financial and cash flow budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the business. Deliver accurate and timely management reports. Provide financial analysis, scenario modelling, and board-level reporting. Manage cash flow to ensure operational stability and real-time financial visibility. Oversee accurate tax compliance while maintaining strong internal controls and governance across all business operations. Manage finance relationships with auditors, and external advisors. Streamline financial processes and systems for efficiency and scalability. Lead ERP integration and enhancements (using Dynamics 365 software) to improve reporting and data integrity. Partner with department heads to align resources with strategic priorities.
