We are in the early stages of developing a new gold processing facility and associated infrastructure at our site near Laverton, WA. We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team and lead site execution from construction, mechanical completion, and readiness for commissioning. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a new Western Australian gold processing facility, with full accountability for site outcomes from first ground-break through to commissioning readiness. About the role:This is a pivotal site leadership role for a senior construction professional who will be appointed as the Senior Site Executive (SSE) for the construction phase and take full responsibility for site safety, statutory compliance, construction coordination, quality, and schedule performance.Working closely with the EPC contractor, engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams, you will represent our interests on site to ensure the plant is constructed safely, correctly, and in line with project objectives through to Practical Completion. Key responsibilities-Fulfil the role of Senior Site Executive (SSE) in accordance with WA mining legislationLead and coordinate all construction activities across civil, SMP, and E&I disciplinesOversee contractor work fronts, sequencing, and productivity to achieve schedule milestonesEnsure compliance with statutory approvals, Works Approval conditions, and site safety systemsDrive quality assurance, inspections, ITP compliance, and defect managementCoordinate construction completion in line with commissioning priorities and handover requirementsAct as the primary on-site interface between the Owner’s team and EPC contractor About you:Must hold a current Senior Site Executive (SSE) qualification recognised in Western AustraliaExtensive experience in construction of mineral processing plants or heavy industrial facilitiesProven EPC project delivery experience within an Owner’s team environmentStrong knowledge of civil, SMP, and E&I construction practicesExperience on remote WA mining projectsSound understanding of WA statutory approvals and compliance requirementsTrade or engineering qualificationStrong safety leadership and statutory accountabilityExcellent contractor management and communication skills Desirable:Gold processing plant construction experienceExperience through to commissioning and project handoverExperience in both Owner’s team and Contractor roles What we offer:Site-based roster aligned to project phase requirementsFixed-term contract through to project completionCompletion bonus incentiveCompetitive salary Supportive and inclusive team Apply now to be considered for this exciting opportunity and join the Brightstar team!
