An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Travel Sales Consultants to join our industry leading travel agency team of experts in our new RACV Bendigo store. We pride ourselves on delivering great service and creating unforgettable travel experiences for our customers. This could be just the right role for you? As a Travel Sales Consultant, you will utilise your exceptional customer service skills and share your extensive knowledge of global destinations and passion for travel. You will be responsible for creating personalised travel itineraries managing the customer experience from beginning to end.Your key responsibilities for the role include: Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & travel insuranceBuild relationships with customers face to face and online, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellationsFacilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers, using Amadeus GDSConvert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross selling & up selling of travel productsManage travel credits, refunds and changesAttend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIsAttend industry events i.e. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos Our Bendigo retail store is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.& Saturday 9am-2pm. Our team work during these hours with the requirement to attend occasional out of office industry events. The business may consider increasing to a 7-day trade in the future. What you’ll need to be successfulRetail travel sales agency experience - essential Certificate 3 in Travel or higher - preferred GDS experience in Amadeus, Sabre - preferredPassion for travel industry and personal travel experienceGreat customer service & communication skillsExcellent organisational, attention to detail & problem solving skillsAbility to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productivelyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent personal presentationAbility to attend induction training Monday-Friday for the first 2-3 weeks in CBD Melbourne head office & store.
