About the Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Professional Experience and Student Support, the Team Leader, Professional Experience provides operational leadership and oversight of the School’s Professional Experience (PEx) program. The role leads a small administrative team responsible for the coordination and delivery of professional experience placements, ensuring timely, high-quality and compliant service delivery. You will oversee day-to-day operations, including staff supervision and work allocation, placement coordination, and the recruitment, engagement and payment of casual academic staff. The role has a strong focus on continuous improvement through the optimisation of business processes, effective use of the placement management system, and implementation of efficiencies and automations, while ensuring compliance with University policies, the Enterprise Agreement and legislative requirements. About you We are seeking a proactive and experienced leader with a strong background in professional experience or work-integrated learning programs, ideally within a tertiary education setting. The successful applicant will demonstrate: A degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing Professional Experience / WIL activities, including advanced knowledge of a placement management system (preferably Sonia). Proven experience leading and developing teams, including supervision, work allocation, performance management and capability development. Strong customer-focused service delivery skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Highly developed planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement in managing complex and non-routine operational issues. A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to use system capabilities to improve processes, data quality and service outcomes.
