About the role: The Technical Support & Lifecycle Lead is responsible for providing national-level technical governance, lifecycle oversight, and escalation leadership across all Australian regions, as well as providing functional leadership, technical direction, and process ownership to ensure best-practice support delivery and continuous product improvement. Key Responsibilities: Establish and drive standardised technical support and lifecycle management processes across the Australian equipment fleet and audit regional practices to ensure national alignment and quality compliance. Oversee consistent application of escalation pathways, issue resolution methodologies, warranty processes, and technical documentation standards. Provide national oversight of equipment lifecycle performance from commissioning through overhaul to end-of-life, ensuring lifecycle and condition data is captured, analysed, and leveraged Act as the national escalation point for major product issues and safety-critical failures. Lead complex investigations, define corrective actions, and ensure formal closure of RCA outcomes. Engage directly with customers and senior management during high-impact technical events. Work with Engineering teams to translate field data and failure trends into design improvements, reliability enhancements, and standard updates. Provide functional leadership and technical direction to Technical Support Specialists nationally Support complex field issues remotely or on-site as required. Support design review processes for new equipment and upgrades, ensuring field learnings are embedded into product development. Knowledge & Experience Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics) or equivalent Strong safety leadership and risk-based decision-making mindset. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to operate autonomously and make sound technical judgements. Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement orientation. Willingness to travel nationally/internationally as required. Electrical or Mechanical trade qualifications highly regarded.
