The key duties of the position include: The Role The Digital Experience (DX) Manager is accountable for providing expertise and knowledge of User-Experience (UX) and Human-Centred Design (HCD) principles to enhance user satisfaction of the Defence Benefits and Conditions of Service (DBCS) public-facing hub and digital content ensuring the workforce can find and understand DBCS information. Key responsibilities: Lead user research, design and content activities to deliver fit for purpose service design outcomes for audiences. Apply systems thinking and judgement to resolve design challenges within Defence’s digital environment. Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver digital solutions aligned with user needs, business requirements, UX best practice and Defence digital standards. Identify, prioritise and validate user experience improvements that support business objectives, service enhancements and workforce priorities. Monitor and report on performance measures, user engagement, accessibility compliance and content effectiveness. Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team by setting expectations, managing performance, delegating effectively and building user centred design capability and culture.
