IMPartners is recruiting on behalf of SA Construct, a leader in the construction industry, specialising in cladding and roofing. Known for innovation and commitment to quality, they are expanding the team and seeking a Purchasing Officer. This position combines traditional purchasing and administrative duties with occasional hands-on support, such as small deliveries, pick/pack orders, and assisting with stock management. This is a key role in keeping our supply chain running smoothly across projects. Key Responsibilities Purchasing Support: Procure specialty items and stock at competitive rates. Raise, monitor, and adjust purchase orders efficiently. Manage back orders and provide timely updates. Stock Control & Logistics: Coordinate stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses. Collaborate on internal and external logistics to optimise delivery schedules. Hands-On Support: Occasionally assist with pick/pack orders, small deliveries, and stock organisation. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, communicate supply issues to the Production Manager, and support process improvements. Collaboration: Work closely with site managers, suppliers, and builders to ensure efficient operations. Skills and Experience Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management Understanding of the construction industry highly desirable Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and inventory systems Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities Strong communication and negotiation skills Driver’s licence essential Ability to work in a hybrid environment combining office/admin tasks and occasional on-site support How to Apply: Submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and skills relevant to this role.
