We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Communications and Engagement Officer to lead strategic communications for the NSW Women in Construction (WIC) Program and broader departmental initiatives. This role is pivotal in advancing gender diversity in the construction sector and strengthening stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead the communications strategy for the WIC Program, aligning with NSW Government priorities to boost public awareness and stakeholder engagement. Manage media relations, including drafting releases, developing media plans for ministerial opportunities, and ensuring positive coverage. Develop and execute targeted communications and engagement plans across internal and external audiences. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, and ministerial offices through regular engagement and strategic briefings. Plan and deliver impactful events that promote the WIC Program, including logistics, guest communications, collateral, and strategic messaging. Identify speaking opportunities and prepare presentations, speaking notes, and manage approvals. About You You hold tertiary qualifications in communications, media, marketing, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience. You bring a proven track record in managing complex communications initiatives, balancing competing priorities, and delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure.
