You’ll work collaboratively across the Collections and Content team to support the management and development of both print and digital collections at Library & Archives NT. About Library & Archives NT Library & Archives NT (LANT) is the Northern Territory’s ‘State’ Library and Archives service. We collect and preserve the documentary heritage of the Northern Territory, including original government and community archive collections. LANT holds an extensive oral history collection, published collections in print and digital form, including books, newspapers, periodicals, and thousands of image collections. We enable access to these collections, to share the Northern Territory’s rich and unique history, through research access, events, exhibitions, education programs and online. About You You are a strategic and highly collaborative information professional with a strong understanding of professional and cataloguing standards, metadata practices, and emerging collection technologies, and you are ready to lead. To be successful, you’ll have: Degree in library and information science with eligibility for Associate Membership of ALIA. Extensive knowledge of collection management practices, including acquisition, cataloguing, processing, and preservation. In-depth knowledge and experience with cataloguing and metadata standards and tools, including RDA, DDC, LCSH, DC and controlled vocabularies. Extensive knowledge of Library Management Systems and awareness of emerging collection technologies. Demonstrated experience in managing collections and facilities, including storage, building management, disaster preparedness, recovery and conservation practices.
