Restaurant Manager - Immediate Start Nick O’Leary Heywood Established in 2023, Nick O’Leary Heywood is a destination dining experience located in Wallaroo just 30 minutes from the city centre. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team and drive exceptional service standards. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Service Leadership Lead and manage staff during service Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations Actively manage guest relations, including handling feedback and resolving issues professionally Confidently present and support our wine program, which includes both Nick O’Leary wines and a curated external list Assist the Operations Manager with private functions and events Administration Manage bookings and coordinate closely with the kitchen to ensure seamless service for reservations and walk-ins Oversee ordering and maintain appropriate stock levels Input and manage invoices accurately Staff Management Prepare and manage rosters Train and develop front-of-house team members Monitor and maintain staff cost targets About You Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality Strong leadership and team development capabilities Comfortable discussing wine with guests and staff, with a sound understanding of general wine styles and vocabulary (training on Nick O’Leary wines will be provided) Warm, engaging personality with a genuine passion for hospitality, food, and wine Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to remain composed and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment Practical and proactive approach to day-to-day operational challenges
