Rowcon is seeking an experienced and motivated and hands on Transport Supervisor to support daily transport operations, lead a team of professional drivers, and uphold our strong safety and compliance standards. About the Role Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Transport Supervisor oversees the scheduling, coordination and support of drivers and trucks to ensure efficient and compliant operations. You’ll act as the primary contact for drivers during shifts, assist with compliance and maintenance requirements, and help improve productivity across the fleet. Key Responsibilities Coordinate day-to-day transport activities, ensuring safe, compliant and on-time operations. Support drivers throughout the day, resolving issues and maintaining strong communication. Oversee maintenance records, compliance registers and daily driver documentation. Help carry out minor truck repairs (e.g., lights, mudflaps) and coordinate scheduled servicing. Provide relief driving as needed for leave, absences or overflow work. Assist with driver onboarding, training, coaching and performance support. Monitor fleet utilisation, productivity metrics and incident/defect reporting. Champion safety culture aligned with WHS and NHVR requirements. Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments and assist with incident investigations. Prepare transport and maintenance reports and support budgeting activities. To be successful in this role Must have: Current HR/HC licence. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in transport operations, fleet management or truck maintenance. Waste industry experience is highly regarded. Legislation and Regulation: Demonstrated knowledge of NHVR regulations, fatigue management, CoR and WHS legislation. Safety-driven with a commitment to continuous improvement. Leadership: Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills while being confident and able to mentor drivers and maintain strong team culture. Calm under pressure with strong decision-making skills while being proactive and solutions focused. Administration : Competent with record-keeping, reporting and transport management systems.
