Casual Position 20 - 30 hours per week Battery World Morphett Vale is seeking a customer service focused and enthusiastic Sales Assistant who is experienced in the Automotive Trade or is Mechanically minded. This is a hands-on role that will include fitting batteries to customers vehicles in store, by the roadside, workplace or their home. Alongside operational duties for the daily running of the store. The position will require heavy lifting and knowledge of automotive electrical systems Training to begin immediately for the right candidate. We are a small crew with a love of all thing’s automotive and battery related and look forward to welcoming a dedicated enthusiast to join our team. The winning applicant will have the ability to provide outstanding customer service above and beyond anything the customer expects. Sound knowledge of retail operations and a full current driver’s license automatic & manual is required. The Role The position is varied and requires a multi-skilled, versatile, outgoing candidate who can switch between providing expert advice to a customer one minute, to fitting batteries to various products the next. Batteries, key fobs, automotive, 4WD, caravans, marine, camping, office we do them all. Key Responsibilities: In store battery sales Handling customer queries in store and over the phone In store and roadside automotive battery fitting Must be fit and energetic. You’ll be required to fit batteries in cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles. Self-motivated regarding housekeeping and attention to detail Able to work under pressure and think on your feet Delivery of goods to local retail & account customers Stock replenishment (heavy lifting required) To be successful candidates will have the following attributes: Automotive trade or automotive retail experience Clean cut, well groomed & neat & tidy appearance Current driver's licence (able to drive auto & manual) Motivation to learn, understand and explain battery technology Impeccable customer service & sales skills with a professional manner Friendly, empathetic and outgoing personality Computer literate Strong work ethic, reliable and work well within a small team
