About the role As our Business Systems Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the firm’s core systems and technology platforms operate effectively and continue to evolve with the needs of the business. Working closely with the COO and internal teams, you will oversee the everyday operations, optimisation and continual improvement of the firm’s systems, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and emerging technologies (including AI). This role works closely with stakeholders across our Adelaide & Darwin offices and will see you collaborate with the Moore National network. You will also work closely with our external IT managed services provider, to ensure our systems remain reliable, secure and aligned with operational needs. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Overseeing and optimising the firm’s core systems including Microsoft 365, Xero Practice Manager and FYI Docs, along with all other accounting & workflow tools Maintaining our existing systems, ensuring all staff have the necessary access through streamlined and well-documented onboarding and offboarding processes Leading system improvements, upgrades and technology implementations Identifying opportunities to improve workflows and automate processes Supporting system integrations and ensuring platforms work effectively together Providing guidance and training to staff to improve system adoption Supporting digital transformation initiatives across the firm, including automation and AI led projects Overseeing online communication with clients and stakeholders, including managing client data, sharing educational information, and the marketing of our services About you The successful candidate will possess a strong background working within accounting or professional services firms & demonstrate hands-on experience and a detailed understanding of systems within such businesses. You will be someone who enjoys working collaboratively and understands the important role that well-designed systems and processes play in supporting successful teams. This position plays a key role in helping the firm operate efficiently by ensuring its systems, platforms and workflows enable staff to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Established experience working within an accounting or professional services firm Exposure to practice management systems such as Xero Practice Manager and document management systems such as FYI Docs An interest in systems improvement, automation and emerging technologies, including AI The ability to work closely with stakeholders to support system implementations and improvements Strong communication and collaboration skills Ultimately, you will be someone who enjoys improving how systems and processes support teams, contributing to the continued growth and efficiency of the firm.
