About the Role We are currently seeking a motivated and culturally grounded Aboriginal professional to join Oseca as an Aboriginal Youth Worker, supporting young people and strengthening community connections across the Peel Region. Our new team member will add value to our team whilst completing the tasks listed below: - Providing culturally safe support and mentoring to Aboriginal young people - Delivering outreach across schools and community settings in the Peel Region - Supporting young people to access mental health, AOD and community services - Building strong relationships with families, schools and local partners - Contributing to program reporting and continuous improvement About You: - You will be able to work effectively as a member of a team - You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of cultural issues - You will be willing to communicate to a variety of people - High level computer skills including database management. - Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. - Demonstrated knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (desirable) Essential Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria: - Identification as a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent under 50(d) legislation - Relevant qualification in Community Services, Youth Work (or demonstrated equivalent experience) - Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Youth Worker with a mental health background - Pre-Employment Health Assessment - A valid WA driver’s licence - A valid and clear police check - A Working with Children Check (WWC) Why Work with Us?
