CURATING ORIGINALITY TAKES TALENT W Brisbane located at 81 North Quay, Brisbane City is hiring a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Sales Executive focusing on MICE to join our Sales & Marketing Team. As a Senior Sales Executive – MICE, you will be responsible for leading the charge in securing and managing high value MICE business. You will also be a key contributor to the hotel’s revenue strategy, while also mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. The successful candidate will have a passion for the hotel and events industry, is eager to build a career with W Hotels and Marriott International, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail. RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively lead the sourcing, conversion, and management of large-scale and high-value MICE opportunities Lead the preparation of high ‑ impact proposals and customised MICE solutions aligned with client needs Host dynamic site inspections, proposals and client presentations, showcasing the hotel as the ideal venue for impactful and memorable events Manage strategic and high ‑ potential accounts, including GSO ‑ related business, ensuring alignment with hotel revenue objectives Build, maintain, and grow long ‑ term relationships with key clients, partners, industry bodies, event agencies, and tourism partners Represent W Brisbane at major trade shows, networking events, industry activations, and client functions, acting as a brand ambassador Collaborate with the Director of Sales on forecasting, strategic planning, and setting targets Mentor, guide, and coach junior team members; support onboarding, skills development, and daily coaching moments Champion cross ‑ department collaboration with Events, B&F, W Insider, and Operations to ensure seamless execution Deliver strong performance against sales KPIs, including conversion rates, revenue targets, pace management, and account growth Uphold W brand standards, operational excellence, and a culture of innovation, service, and high performance ABOUT YOU Minimum two-three years’ experience in a hotel environment A passion for sales, events, and hospitality A proven track record in business development or sales (hospitality experience a plus!) Strong relationship-building skills and a flair for negotiation A collaborative spirit and a drive to exceed targets Previous experience with guiding junior team members desirable A love for fast-paced, high-energy environments Possess excellent verbal and written communication and Microsoft Office skills, and a high attention to detail.
