Koorootang Court Village is set besides a charming beachside, surrounded by spacious parks and gardens in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula. As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by undertaking maintenance activities and providing excellent customer service to our residents. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication skills, strong computer skills and a knack for problem-solving. You will support our close-knit team on a Full-Time basis. No weekend work! Reporting the Village Manager, your duties will include: Coordinating and undertaking various maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections across residential properties Assisting with general handyperson tasks as needed, including minor repairs and installations Implementing and adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring safety of all residents, visitors and contractors Communicating effectively with residents to address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently Liaising with external contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and update databases accordingly Assisting with various Adhoc duties where required, as directed by the Village Manager Operating the village bus occasionally to transport residents locally in a safe and courteous manner About You The successful applicant will have demonstrated competence as a maintenance assistant or handyperson or experience in a similar role, as well as: Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks Effective communication skills Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job Currently hold an Australian MR Drivers Licence (or be willing to obtain one) Computer literate e.g. basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook, Apps A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one) The ability to take initiative and be pro-active The ability to work individually and in a team Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
