Summary Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking an Allied Health Clinician – Senior to join the team within Child, Youth and Family Health Service at the Kirwan Health Campus on a Permanent full-time basis. About the work unit / facility As a part of the Early Intervention Parenting Clinician Service (EIPC) situated within the multidisciplinary Child Youth and Family Health team, the position will provide high level early intervention counselling services and parenting programs for families with complex needs. The parenting period covered is from antenatal through to postnatal with children aged up to 4 years. (HP4) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available About your opportunity The purpose of this role is to deliver senior Psychology/Social Work services within the Early Intervention Parenting Clinician service. This includes: Delivering high quality evidenced based Psychology/Social Work clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning interprofessional team. Contribution to the advancement of quality Psychology/Social Work services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education. Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives. Providing supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Allied Health Assistants (AHA's). Requirements: Psychologist – General Applicants must possess an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four year qualification in Psychology, and be eligible for General registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychology Board of Australia (PsychBA). While not mandatory, a Psychology Board of Australia (PsychBA) area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology would be highly regarded, as would PsychBA approved Supervisor status. Social Worker Possession of a tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Overseas qualified social work candidates require a ‘certification of eligibility' letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW.
