About the Role Metrowest is seeking to further expand our team of multi-skilled trades people to carry out servicing, repairs and minor works within the facilities maintenance environment. This role suits someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, enjoys varied commercial work across Perth, and can confidently complete tasks with no supervision. You will work on a variety of tasks ranging from general building maintenance to assisting with full commercial fit outs including demolition, framing, ceilings, partitioning, doors and finishing. Your main role within the team is to perform diverse, small-scale commercial repairs. While you won't be expected to tackle large-scale projects requiring specialist trade qualifications (outside of your own), we require a versatile all-rounder to handle small-scale repairs and installations throughout our commercial client’s facilities. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of an exciting and rapidly growing department, and who treats the business as if it were their own while enjoying the stability and security of working within a well-established 30-year-old company. A trade qualification in Carpentry or Ceiling Fixing is preferred but not essential. Key Responsibilities Maintenance: Maintain commercial wall/ceiling structures and general building assets. Undertake a range of repairs for a variety of commercial facilities. Fit-outs/Refurbishments: Assist with small office projects from strip-out to final finishes, within a team or independently. Ceilings: Install and repair suspended plasterboard and grid systems. Carpentry: Execute all stages (1st, 2nd, and 3rd fix) including doors, frames, and trims. Finishing: Perform surface prep, patching, flushing and painting Trade Coordination: Work alongside other contractors to ensure seamless project delivery. Leadership: Coordinate with trades and mentor/upskill junior staff.
