Lindsay Transport is currently seeking a Driver / General Hand to be based at our workshop in Virginia, Adelaide on a full time basis. This is a dual-role position combining truck driving with workshop support. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our fleet and operations run smoothly by getting our trucks to and from the workshop as well as assisting with general workshop duties. Ideally suited to someone who is keen to stay in the cab but is looking for a more work / life balance. Safely transport company trucks from depot to our workshop for maintenance purposes: Manually hooking up trailers, winding legs and splitting B-double combinations Using the workshop tug to move trailers in and around the workshop and workshop yard Dropping trucks and trailers off for repairs at external vendors Taking vehicles for inspections to clear defects Calibrating weigh scales on trucks and trailers for the workshop Local pickup of parts Support the workshop team with manual and basic maintenance tasks Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the workshop and spare parts area What You’ll Bring: Current and valid HC licence as a minimum, MC preferred Experience in relevant licence class including confident reversing abilities Have the capability to meet the physical demands of the position – this includes getting in and out of the truck/TUG throughout the day & performing manual workshop tasks and heavy lifting at times. Previous commercial driving experience detailed in your resume. A safe driving record, you will be required to provide a copy of your driving history.
