About the Role We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Rostering Officer to join our team in Hobart. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination of staff rosters and participant support services. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate rosters in line with participant service agreements and NDIS funding, ensuring appropriate staff coverage, and managing last-minute changes when required. You will work closely with the HR Manager, Operations Manager, Team Leaders, participants, and support workers to ensure continuity of care and efficient workforce coordination. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Core Objectives Your key responsibilities will include: Create and manage participant and staff rosters, ensuring shifts align with participant service agreements and NDIS funding Ensure appropriate staff coverage at all times, including managing cancellations, absences, and last-minute roster changes Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding rostering matters and availability Communicate roster updates clearly and promptly to staff and relevant stakeholders Work collaboratively with HR, Service Managers, and Team Leaders to support operational workforce needs Assist with onboarding processes, including document collection, compliance checks, and record management Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring all qualifications, certifications, and compliance documents are up to date Assist with recruitment coordination, including reviewing resumes and organising interviews Coordinate staff meetings, training sessions, and workforce scheduling requirements Provide general administrative support to management and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of the organisation Support continuous improvement of rostering systems and internal processes The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may evolve to meet the operational needs of the organisation. About You We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You will bring: Experience in a rostering, scheduling, or workforce coordination role (experience within disability, aged care, or healthcare highly desirable) Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure and manage last-minute changes Strong problem-solving skills and initiative Professional and confident approach Experience using rostering software, Microsoft Office and Outlook Calendar Understanding of the NDIS and participant service delivery (highly desirable) Experience in HR administration, onboarding, or recruitment coordination (desirable) What We Offer At Care Force, we value our employees and recognise the important role they play in delivering quality support services.
