From short-form video and photography to written storytelling, you’ll help showcase the people, services, events and initiatives that make Wodonga a great place to live, work and learn. Key Aspects Of The Role Create engaging digital content Develop high-quality, creative content across the council’s social media platforms, including graphics, reels, short-form video and written copy. You’ll bring fresh ideas and storytelling approaches to strengthen community engagement and showcase council initiatives.Manage social media channels Support the day-to-day management of Wodonga Council’s social media channels, ensuring content is timely, accurate and aligned with best practice. You’ll monitor engagement, respond to enquiries and escalate sensitive matters where required.Optimise performance and engagement Use your knowledge of Meta platforms and analytics to improve content performance, reach and engagement. You’ll continuously look for ways to enhance how Wodonga Council communicates with the community.Support broader digital communications Contribute to e-newsletters, website updates and other digital communications to ensure information is current, accessible and aligned with organisational priorities.Collaborate across the organisation Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure content is accurate, consistent and reflective of the Council’s values, services and priorities. What We’re Looking For Experience creating engaging social media content, including video, photography, graphics and written copyStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiencesProficiency in social media platforms (particularly Meta) including scheduling, insights and community managementExperience using Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design toolsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to build positive working relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environmentRelevant qualification in communications, digital media, marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience) Why join us?
